As expected, DHS/USCIS announced today that the H-2B cap for the first half of FY26 was reached on September 12th. Beginning October 1st, NALP can start pressing DHS to release supplemental visas, and NALP is already coordinating efforts on Capitol Hill. Please stay tuned for grassroots alerts once Congress finalizes plans for the Continuing Resolution (CR).
H-2B Economic Research
The H-2B Workforce Coalition recently commissioned an independent economic analysis measuring the impacts of the H-2B program on U.S. employees and the broader economy. Key findings confirm that each H-2B worker supports between 2–5 U.S. jobs and that regions with higher H-2B participation show a positive relationship with U.S. worker wages.
NALP has attached the full report for your review, along with a press release currently being shared with congressional offices.
Thank you for your continued support and engagement.
Sincerely,
John
